1. Overall planning.
With reference to the development requirements of the broadband access network in the Chinese market, and combined with the characteristics of the current GPON products and the specific operation of the current network deployment, it is recommended to adopt the FTTH construction mode, with the ability to provide ultra-high bandwidth for end users, and to bring functional rich business models and the best business experience to end users, such as IP network + cable TV + fixed telephone.
2. FTTH network area division.
FTTH network belongs to the category of access network, which should be consistent with the planning idea of access network. Through regional division, the planning is carried out on the basis of sub-region, and generally, the service area of access network is taken as a planning sub-area.
The access network service area is an area covered by a backbone network service of the access network.
Generally, the end bureau is the center of the service area, which can be covered by either a single bureau or a double bureau.
After the planning of FTTH network element and ODN network in each access network service area is completed, comprehensive consideration is carried out in the whole local network category, and the planning and economic evaluation of network resources are carried out.
3. The main services provided by FTTH network.
FTTH system can be used as an integrated access means to provide high bandwidth and QoS guarantee capacity. It can carry a variety of services including Ethernet / IP services, voice services, video surveillance and other services to meet the needs of Triple-play.
It can provide access and bearer of voice, data, video and surveillance services:
Data services: FTTH can provide more than 30m bandwidth, which can meet the needs of Ethernet / IP-based data services for a long time, such as Internet access, P2P, file download, online games and other services and applications.
Voice service: FTTH system can provide voice service, including softswitch telephone language using VOIP (and various value-added services) and traditional telephone using 64kbit/s circuit simulation.
From the point of view of the development trend of technology, softswitch will become the implementation mode that FTTH must support.
CATV services: including digital cable television and high-definition cable television, the effective utilization rate of GPON bandwidth can not only greatly increase the uplink bandwidth utilization of video images, but also provide higher downlink bandwidth of video image terminals.
For public customers: mainly provide voice, data and video services.
For major customers: commercial customers, mainly provide voice, data and monitoring services.
